Netwanderer
is an IT consulting business owned and operated by David Smith. Netwanderer
offers IT consulting and infrastructure design, server & workstation installation,
server & workstation maintenance, software training, and backup solutions.
David
has been working in Information Technology since 1987. His clientele comes
from a range of industries including brick and mortar giants such as Charles
Schwab, food product innovators such as Odwalla, experts in design such as
Addison and MetaDesign, and small business owners.
His IT challenges have included short-term consulting projects to longer
ongoing relationships. For example David's 4+ year relationship with MetaDesign,
David has helped the company implement effective solutions to ride the
swell of the 97% growth and 60% decline of Silicon Valley's financial
and economic recession. More recently David has been applying his technology
offering to a new performing arts school in Oakland founded by Mayor Jerry
Brown. The school has implemented a 1 to 1 student to laptop ratio and
integrated the laptops into both the academic and arts curriculum.
David attributes his success through the years to his communication skills.
As an Earlham College graduate in Human Development and Social Relations,
he is able to clearly communicate business needs translating complex technological
jargon to understandable solutions.
